Medical Assistance, also known as Medicaid, and sometimes referred to as MA, pays for health care services for eligible individuals.
On September 29th, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services approved the Department of Human Services' Section 1115 Waiver request to continue to provide Medical Assistance for former foster care youth who moved to Pennsylvania from a different state. Pennsylvania is the first state to provide coverage for these youth under a new Section 1115 Waiver. To view a copy of the approval letter, click here.
